"I lust after this amp"

Sam Tellig STEREOPHILE

After numerous requests for a lower-powered amplifier, the S-30 was unveiled at the HiFi '99 show in Chicago, where it was warmly received. It’s designed as a state-of-the-art amplifier for those using higher-efficiency speakers or having smaller listening rooms where there’s no need for the power of the larger Atma-sphere amps. The amplifier is compact, easy to live with and operate and has the same features as the Atma-sphere larger amplifiers.

For audiophiles who seek the ultimate in amplifier design and are realistic about their budget, the S-30 offers the features, precision and performance of the larger Atma-sphere models in a compact, 30-watt, single chassis, stereo package. Operating the amplifier is easy with the built-in meter. It is stable with any load and uses extremely reliable proven circuitry. The S-30 is the highest performing 30watt amplifier available. Designed with octal-base signal triodes, the S-30 Mk.II outperforms any single-ended amplifier ever produced, not to mention conventional push-pull designs. Its balanced line compatibility and proven class-A triode circuitry make the S-30 the ideal choice for the discriminating audiophile.
