Symposium Acoustics pioneered the concept of the mechanical drainage of equipment vibration with the launch of the original ‘rollerblock’ equipment foot. Often copied but never surpassed, the success of the rollerblock concept in demonstrating how deleterious equipment-generated vibration is to sound quality, has spawned a range of Symposium products that comprehensively addresses vibration issues throughout the hifi chain – from turntables and CD transports to loudspeakers.

The Symposium range now comprises Rollerblocks, equipment platforms and now the new Isis rack which brings all the learning together into what is quite possibly the most elegantly thought-through and effective hifi rack on the market.

All Symposium products follow the same philosophy of being designed to drain away energy that the equipment itself generates. At the same time, the designs also isolate equipment from extraneous vibration. Depending on the hifi system into which they are introduced, the effects of adding even a single Symposium product can be dramatic in terms of enhanced clarity, resolution and musicality. However, there is a caveat – do not use Symposium as a tone-control! A system that is poorly matched in itself, and therefore unmusical, is unlikely to sound better – Symposium works best in taking a good system and making it outstanding.
