Zu products are deeply anchored in applied physics, common sense, and attentive listening. In the late 1990s the founders of Zu wondered why had hi-fi become so clinical and dead, so uninspiring as to be seldom used regardless of cost. High-end audio had become widely unmoored from its pioneering past, fundamental physics and basic sensibilities. Regrettably, high-end audio had also become deaf to the music that had once inspired it. The founders of Zu believed they had the passion and experience to create and manufacture products that would exceed expectations, loudspeakers and cables that would continually satisfy the listener. In 2000 Zu incorporated for this purpose, to bring the Hi-Fi stereo back as the most important and rewarding furnishing in the home. Zu is pushing back to the pioneering days of playback and sincere investigation.
